One lesson and a resort day
Keep beach items in a small day bag. Leave travel documents and spare footwear out of the wet bag. Confirm the pickup time with reception before leaving the room.

SURF RANCH · SAN JUAN DEL SUR
Your packing list changes depending on whether you’re taking a lesson at Remanso or bringing your own board for independent sessions. Start with that decision before paying for a board bag.

YOUR LESSON BAG
The SJDS surf package includes a board during each 90-minute lesson and a return ride to the beach. If you’re coming purely for instruction, you can leave the surfboard at home. Board use outside lesson time is a separate question to settle before travelling.
Pack a swimsuit you can move in, a rash guard or fitted swim shirt, sun protection, a towel and water. Put a dry shirt in a separate bag so the trip back to the resort is comfortable. Leave enough space for your wet clothing on the return journey.
FLYING WITH YOUR OWN BOARD
Measure the bag with the board and padding inside, and weigh it before booking your flight. Check each carrier’s current sports-baggage rules for those exact dimensions, weight, number of boards and operating flights. Keep the carrier’s confirmation with the reservation.
For the airport ride, send the driver your bag dimensions, passenger count and total luggage before confirming the vehicle. If your board has removable fins, follow its packing instructions and keep small hardware together. Confirm how your bag will travel on any separate beach outing, too.

Bring a second swim shirt or swimsuit so one can dry while you use the other. Add a bag for damp clothes on checkout day and leave time for breakfast before departure.
Pack the shoes and protective gear you use to skate. If bringing a skateboard as well as a surfboard, check it separately with the airline and include both in your transfer request.
