The Surf Ranch is not just a hotel.  It is a childhood dream, come to life.  Situated along side the San Juan river on the jungles edge, it is an oasis dreamland.  As you lay poolside or at the swim up bar enjoying the selection of cocktails, you may see and hear the howler monkeys as they frolic across the jungle canopy.  You can spend the days soaking up rays, practicing yoga and receiving a massage, or you can go the adventurous route and take part in the many activities.  Spend the day practicing on the rock climbing wall, sliding down the water slide, cooling off in the splash pad water park, skateboarding at the on site skate park, playing volleyball, or lounging poolside. Pool & Swim Up Bar

Come relax and enjoy the constant sun at our large island swimming pool. The pool also has a 6 seat swim up bar with a TV, where you can order local and imported beers, liquor, wine, cocktails and food from the restaurant. The pool is also equipped with an outdoor shower, nearby cabanas, bathrooms, lounge chairs, waiters to serve you all day and night, and also lights which light up the pool, bar and palm trees at night.  The swim up bar is also equipped with a sound system playing music all day. Come listen to music while eating food and sipping on cocktails in paradise.
 

2 Restaurants

The Sprout Restaurant offers a local Nicaraguan and worldwide menu including all of your favorite foods. You have the option of where you would like to dine, including poolside under thatch roof cabanas, at the swim up bar, on the second floor of the restaurant, and even in your villa or condo. The restaurant is open from 7:30am - 9pm, everyday of the week, and is open to guests and visitors. We also have fast and free WiFi available for everyone. Come chill by the pool and bar, have some food & drinks, use the WiFi and meet new friends.  We also have a Pizza Restaurant which also does delivery through the Pedidos Ya App.

Reception

The Surf Ranch reception is open from 7:30am - 9:00pm. Our receptionists are here to help you get checked in, checked out, arrange activities, airport shuttles and to cater to your every need. We speak English and Spanish. Anything you need organized or have questions on, the reception is where you will need to go. The reception is located on the bottom floor of the main restaurant building, in front of the parking lot when you first enter the resort. Splash Pad Water Park

The Splash pad is the first of its kind in Nicaragua.   It is pirate themed and has a small waterslide as well as a treasure chest that shoots water, as well as palm trees, the ship itself and also a barrel that fills up and splashes every 5 minutes.

There is a seating area for adults, within eye site of the bar and has it's own speaker system connected to the main pool area.  A great addition for families and children, as well as birthday parties.

Rock Climbing Wall

The Surf Ranch rock climbing wall is the first and only in Nicaragua. The wall is 24 ft high and 32 ft wide, with 3 different sections. 1 section is a flat wall, the 2nd section is a gradual overhang incline and the 3rd section slopes in then back out half way through. We have routes available for everyone from beginners to pros.  The price is $10 per person, which includes: entry, use of wall, helmet, chalk bag with chalk, shoes, harness, belay device, rope, carabiner, and a quick training brief on how to climb. It will also include our rock climbing staff to belay you and give you tips while you climb, if you need it.

 

Skateboard Park

The Surf Ranch skateboard park is located on site at the resort and is the largest skatepark in Nicaragua. It has been designed and built by Canadian brothers/owners of the Surf Ranch who have been skateboarding for 20 + years. The park is open to everyone, it is FREE and helmets are not required.  The skatepark has areas for beginners, intermediate and pros, with everything from flat bars and manual boxes to hubbas, quarter pipes and handrails. If you consume food and drinks, you can use the pool and cool off after a long day of skating.  We are always filming, holding contests and featuring demos by professional skateboarders.
 

Water Slide

The resort has a large water slide from the top restaurant area down into the pool.  This is one of the main attractions of the hotel.
