Plan a team offsite in San Juan del Sur
Bring one decision your team needs to make, the people who can make it and a realistic amount of time together. Use the resort inquiry to check the space and meals before sharing a final agenda.
PLANNING NOTES
Start with the working session
For an eight-person team, ask the facilitator to write one sentence describing the result: “By lunch we will choose the next project and its owner.” Tell reception that this block needs seating for eight, what level of privacy is necessary, and whether you need a screen, writing surface or power. Ask what can be provided before committing to a presentation format.

Who needs a bedroom of their own?
Ask privately about sleeping preferences. Two condos fit eight people sharing four queen beds. That arrangement may suit friends and still be unsuitable for a work team. Ask about single rooms or twin-bed configurations, including a room for your facilitator.
PLANNING NOTES
The facilitator’s afternoon
12:00 · Meet over lunch
Have one person receive late arrivals. Seat people together for a short orientation and tell them what they need to bring to the working session. Confirm lunch and space with reception before using these sample times.
1:00 · Make the decision
Give everyone ten minutes to write individual proposals. Discuss the two clearest choices, record the decision and name one owner. Leave the last fifteen minutes for next steps so the session can end on time.
2:30 · Break into smaller groups
Teams can opt for pool time, volleyball or a quiet break. For a climbing session or equipment, request availability and prices in advance. Agree on a meeting point and time for a short final check-in.

Keep the activity optional
Offer an alternative for colleagues who prefer to stay on the ground. Ask for a separate quote if only part of the team wants the climbing session.
PLANNING NOTES
Send one brief to reception
Choose Corporate / Team retreat and list hosts, daytime attendees and overnight guests separately. Include preferred dates, alternative dates, workshop hours, meal plan, dietary requests, travel groups and total budget per guest. Ask whether any space would be shared and how long it could be reserved.
For example: “Eight colleagues, six staying two nights, two joining for lunch and the afternoon. We need a quiet area from 1 to 2:30 pm, then four people want to climb. Can you price rooms, meals, space and the activity separately?” The proposal form takes no payment.
